Club News

Welcome to the Southdown FC website, we are still finishing off all the various sections so please bear with us if anything is not working exactly as it should or the details are not yet 100% accurate.

If in doubt or to report anything you have spotted, please contact myself - Martin Bamford, Website Administrator -

The 2017-18 season has started but still opportunities to join at most age groups so do contact the relevant team managers for more details and hopefully we'll be able to work something out to welcome you to playing for Southdown FC.

Looking for more boys and girls at all age groups that we have teams.  The leages do allow some opportunities to play up an age group so if we don't appear to have a team at the age group you are looking for do contact the team manager for an upper age group and they will let you know if there is an opportunity for a player to play up.

ALSO looking for adult help as well please. Opportunities to get involved in the capacity of coaching, assisting coaches, first-aiders, commitee roles or just generally helping out with the running of the club and teams.  The club does contribute to any relevant and necessary courses/qualifications that may be required.  Please contact the manager at the age group you may be interested in or the Club Secretary - Jo Hadingham

Should you have any football kit (football boots, tops, shorts etc) we operate a swap system within the club to especially help newer players get the appropriate playing equipment.  Please contactthe Club Secretary - Jo Hadingham

 Thank you

Burgess Hill Cricket Club & Southdown FC Join Forces!!

Southdown Football Club and Burgess Hill Cricket Club are delighted to announce that they have established a partnership which will encourage all their young members, boys and girls, to play both football and cricket during the year. Southdown Football Club, established 48 years ago, is one of the leading youth football clubs in the area and Burgess Hill Cricket Club has one of the leading Youth Cricket Academies in the County. Demonstrating this partnership, Burgess Hill Cricket Club, in conjunction with GR Teamwear, have supplied Southdown FC with sponsored training tops for every youngster who participates in the Southdown Minors coaching programme on Saturday mornings. Ian Hadingham, Chairman of Southdown FC and Mike Trowbridge Chairman of BHCC said that with the football and cricket clubs always looking for new players, both boys and girls from age 5 and upwards, this is a logical and sensible local partnership. Southdown FC youngsters were very grateful to Burgess Hill Cricket Club and GR Teamwear for providing the training kit (images to follow)
